This past Saturday was the Restore The Delta event out of Tracy Oasis. I was looking forward to fishing it with fellow RB Bass angler Charles Cornelison, it was the the first time we have fished together but I promise you it won’t be the last! We had a 1:00 weigh in so decided not to make a long run and started fishing right outside of the off limits. The tide was about 3/4 of the way out and the water temperature was low 60’s with about 2 foot visabilty. We couldn’t get anything on reaction baits so switch up a little and started getting a couple fish. With the last of the out going tide the senko had put two soild 2.5 pounders in the boat. As the tide came to dead low we pulled the trolling motor up and made a short run down Old River about 2 miles. With the tide coming in we started fishing a dropshot on the outside weed line and just went down the bank catching bass, nothing special about what we did or used we just fished hard and got at least 15 fish.
Using Cal Coast Fishing Money Beam, we culled up to just under 15lbs which turned out to be good enough for 3rd place finish. This was a great event and I had a blast fishing with Charles. We all need to support and protect this wonderful California Delta, so next time you should come and fish! Tracy Oasis is an awesome place and put on a great event. Afterwards we all sat around and enjoyed some great food and talked about fishing, what away to end the day!
See ya on the water! Charlie King.
I want to say thanks to my sponsors.
And of course
