RB Bass Outdoors would like to introduce our newest team member John Myers. John is a seasoned angler as well as a writer and will soon be doing a podcast. Please give him a follow. Here is a little bit about John.
“Greetings dear outdoors people,
My name is John Myers, I have a passion for competitive bass fishing and have been competing in bass tournaments since 1986. Four years ago, a good friend introduced me to kayak fishing. I’ll never forget the first bass I caught from a kayak. The fish towed me around while fighting her to the kayak, it was a one on one amazing fight. The bass weighed in just a little over 6 pounds – been hook on kayak angling ever since.
Every year I make goals with my fishing accomplishments that I drive to achieve. This year my focus is to win one major tournament and at least one angler of the year in a kayak circuit.
My most impressive recent accomplishment was back to back angler of the year title for the Wild West Bass kayak trail in 2021 and 2022. Also, in 2022 I achieved three anglers of the year titles in Wild West, Cabass Nation and Wild West Kayak Pro Tour. People say I smile all the time, if they only knew what I was thinking.
