Hey guys…I decided to take the Phoenix out for an evening session on Folsom Lake today. The weather was great and the water temps were around 75-76 degrees. I launched out of Browns Ravine and made my way down the South Fork. Flipped senkos and jigs and caught several fish with the biggest being 4.5 lbs. I then decided to head up the North Fork. With the sun going down, it was prime time for a top water bite. I focused on some points and flats and got on a good top water bite but nothing of too big of size. All in all, I was out for a couple hours and had some fun squaring up on some fish at the lake that always seems to be tough. With this hot weather the top water bite in the early morning and evenings is turning on. Go get you some!
I hope this report helps ya get some fish in the boat. Reminder: be careful of all the wood/debris in the water. It is getting better but keep your eyes open while rolling through the lake.
Good luck, be safe and hope to see you out there!
