Venison Recipe by Brad Kilpatrick
Here is one of my venison recipes. This one turned out really tasty.
Step 1) Thaw out the venison
Step 2) Use teriyaki sauce, splash of soy sauce, a splash of Worcestershire sauce and this Buffalo Trace rub is really good. Mix it up with the meat and let it soak for a bit to absorb the flavors.
Step 3) Put the meat on a medium heat grill. This thickness cut was 4 minutes a side to a medium rare. If you cook your venison too long, it gets tough like boot leather.
Venison eats much better with a medium rare cook. I do not do a sere on the meat as it could cook to quickly and become tough.
