You will need the following ingredients:
2 pounds of venison steaks, can be done with deer, elk, antelope, caribou or whitetail, make sure the gar is trimmed and cut into thin strips.
At least 3 tablespoons of butter, maybe more if you like
Fresh mushrooms sliced
1/3 cup of sherry
⅓ cup water
1 envelope of Lipton onion soup mix
Dash of Garlic salt
Dash of curry powder
A hint of Paprika
2 beef bouillon cube
1 cup of sour cream
In a large cast iron skillet brown the venison strips, with the butter and mushrooms. Then Stir in the sherry and water. Add the Lipton onion soup mix, garlic salt, Curry powder, hint of Paprika and bouillon cubes. Mix it up well, cover, and simmer for 30 minutes. I stir it half way through. I also add liquid if needed, sherry or water (guess which I like lol) until tender. Just before serving add the sour cream, increase the heat and cook 1 minute or more.
Serve over rice or noodles
You can vary spices to fit your taste if you like.
